There are two options for making changes to your floorplan. Making edits to your floorplan may have unintended consequences if the proper steps are not followed. Please contact your Customer Success Representative at R-Zero or reach out via Chat or Email (support@rzerosystems.com) to confirm the processes.
1. Duplicate your Floor Plan
If you're making major changes to the floor plan and you'd like to retain all sensor locations and the original floorplans, try duplicating your floor plan.
• For quality control, this option is only available to super-admins. Please contact R-Zero to walk you through duplicating a floorplan.
2. Edit your Floor Plan
If you're making minor changes to the floor plan and retaining the previous layout is not required, try editing your floorplan.
Part 1. Adding Phase tags to your data
• Open your floorplan (that requires editing) and add a tag to any or all of the applicable sensors that describe a phase of work. For example, if the edits to the floorplan represent a change, you may tag all of your sensors (before the change) with "Floor 12 Phase 1".
• Once you've added the new tags, notify an R-Zero admin to apply these new tags to your historical data.
• Once these tags have been applied to the old data, you can continue your changes.
Part 2. Editing your Floorplan
• Once your "phase 1" tags have been added to the existing sensors. You can make changes that will reflect "phase 2".
• First, replace the floor plan image.
- Tip: It can be helpful to screenshot your existing unlocked FloorPlan with its assigned WorkPoints for reference
- Tip: When replacing a FloorPlan that already has WorkPoints assigned to locations, it’s important to keep the new FloorPlan matching the size and proportion of the existing one. Verify you have the file of the existing FloorPlan and match this image's properties.
• Go to your WorkPlace dashboard (with the list of your floorplans shown)
• Click the Pencil icon next to your FloorPlan
• Drag your new FloorPlan image onto the old one and save your settings
• Open and unlock your new FloorPlan by clicking the red Lock button in the floorplan menu.
• When the floorplan is unlocked, it will show you the device labels (5-digit numbers). This will allow you to double-check that you're selecting (and moving) the correctly corresponding sensors.

• Select a WorkPoint and drag it to its new location. You can either use the conventional WorkPoint setup instructions (using the notification button) or, if it’s a simple move, just drag the WorkPoint to its new location.
• Add new tags to describe the new location for the sensor.
• Select all applicable sensors and add a new tag to describe the phase. For example, select and add a new "floor 12 Phase 2" tag to all sensors on Floor 12.
