Connect Analytics are a comprehensive set of tools for slicing up your Building data. Our devices collect data at a very high frequency providing you with a massive trove of data.
Analytics Dashboards
There are 3 locations where you can view your data. These are outlined below:
Building Analytics:
The Building Analytics feature provides a comprehensive view of all data collected from every floor within a building. Accessible via the Spaces tab, this is your central hub for analyzing and reviewing performance metrics.
From this interface, you can apply various filters, including by floor, tags, or specific timeframes, to tailor the data to your needs.
By default, Building Analytics displays data starting from the initial installation date. You can then narrow down your analysis further by making targeted selections, ensuring precise insights into your building’s performance.
Specific Sensors Analytics Preview:
The Analytics Preview feature can be accessed from the Realtime tab. This feature allows you to:
- View and deselect selected devices
- Choose a date interval
- View tags associated with the selected devices
- Preview average and peak utilization, and a utilization trend graph
To make a selection on the floorplan, you can:
- Drag your mouse over the desired devices
- Hold Shift and select the devices
- Open the "Associated Tag" dropdown and select specific tags
After making your selection, click the "View Utilization" button at the top of the screen to launch the Analytics Preview.

Using the Analytics Dashboard
TOP MENU
In all of Connect's analytics, the contents of the Analytics Dashboard are ultimately controlled by several features in the Top Menu . In the examples below, we will be using the Building Analytics.
The menu along the top of the Analytics Dashboard contains several key functions that control your data. Adjust these prior to analyzing your data and save your view if you refer back.
1. Building Selection
This is a single-select option. Note: selecting a new building will reset all previously selected filters.
2. Floors & Tags Selections
By default, no floors or tags are selected, so analytics will display data for all devices on the floorplan. To filter the data, click the Floors & Tags dropdown and multi-select the desired floors and custom tags.
3. Seats vs Spaces
At the top left of the filters, there is a toggle that allows you to switch between Seats and Spaces. Seats refer to individual seating options, such as a desk chair or a meeting room chair. Spaces encompass rooms and shared areas, including a desk for solo work, a conference room for team meetings, or an open work area.
4. Data Granularity
The Data Granularity defines the length of time associated with each reading of Activity. The data granularity may be thought of as buckets of time; if any activity is detected within the amount of time determined by the data granularity, such as "5-minutes", the entire 5 minutes will be shown as active. For example, a desk may only be active for 12 minutes during an hour of the day but using a data granularity of 30-minutes would mean the entire 30-minutes would be shown as active.
5. Select Days of the Week, Time of Day, and Date Range
- Days of the Week: This multi-select filter allows you to choose the specific days to see analytics on. This is pre-set to 5 days selected (Monday-Friday), adjust if needed.
-
Time of Day: This filter allows you to zoom in on specific times of the day.
- Workday: 8AM - 6PM
- Morning: 8AM - 12PM
- Afternoon: 12PM - 6PM
- Custom Duration: Lets you customize the time of day
- Date Range: Lets you select a single date or a range of dates to filter on
