Connect Analytics are a comprehensive set of tools for slicing up your Building data. Our devices collect data at a very high frequency providing you with a massive trove of data.
Analytics Dashboards
There are 3 locations where you can view your data. These are outlined below:
Analytics Preview:
The Analytics Preview feature allows you to:
- View and deselect selected devices
- Choose a date interval
- View tags associated with the selected devices
- Preview analytic charts, including Utilization, Peak Occupancy, and Time Range Utilization for the selected devices
To make a selection on the floorplan, you can:
- Hold down the Shift key and drag the mouse over the desired devices
- Open the "Associated Tag" dropdown and select specific tags
After making your selection, click the "Device Analytic Builder Tool" button at the top of the screen to launch the Analytics Preview.
FloorPlan Analytics:
Clicking See Full Analytic View at the bottom of the analytics preview will launch the full FloorPlans analytics. The FloorPlan analytics displays all metrics based on your selection from the FloorPlan.
In order to update the devices or tags selected, press the Back to Builder Tool button.
Buidling Analytics:
The Building analytics contains all data from all floors in the building. This is accessed from the Occupancy Analytics tab.
The Building Analytics will load all the data from the start of the installation. You can then make selections to further narrow the scope of your analysis.
Note: based on your Building size, this dashboard can load much more slowly than the FloorPlan Analytics. Each change to the dashboard will require the data to be reprocessed and may take several minutes. Once the new selection data is loaded once, it'll be stored and allow to be quickly loaded in the future.
Using the Analytics Dashboard
TOP MENU
In all of Connect's analytics, the contents of the Analytics Dashboard are ultimately controlled by several features in the Top Menu . In the examples below, we will be using the Building Analytics.
The menu along the top of the Analytics Dashboard contains several key functions that control your data. Adjust these prior to analyzing your data and save your view if you refer back.
1. Building Selection
This is a single-select option. Note: selecting a new building will reset all previously selected filters
2. Floors & Tags Selections
By default, no floors or tags are selected, so analytics will display data for all devices on the floorplan. To filter the data, click the Floors & Tags dropdown and multi-select the desired floors and custom tags.
3. Seats vs Spaces
At the top left of the filters, there is a toggle that allows you to switch between Seats and Spaces. Seats refer to individual seating options, such as a desk chair or a meeting room chair. Spaces encompass rooms and shared areas, including a desk for solo work, a conference room for team meetings, or an open work area.
4. Data Granularity
The Data Granularity defines the length of time associated with each reading of Activity. The data granularity may be thought of as buckets of time; if any activity is detected within the amount of time determined by the data granularity, such as "5-minutes", the entire 5 minutes will be shown as active. For example, a desk may only be active for 12 minutes during an hour of the day but using a data granularity of 30-minutes would mean the entire 30-minutes would be shown as active.
5. Select Days of the Week, Time of Day, and Date Range
- Days of the Week: This multi-select filter allows you to choose the specific days to see analytics on. This is pre-set to 5 days selected (Monday-Friday), adjust if needed.
-
Time of Day: This filter allows you to zoom in on specific times of the day.
- Morning: 8AM - 1PM
- Afternoon: 1PM - 7PM
- Workday: 8AM - 7PM
- Custom Duration: Lets you customize the time of day
- Date Range: Lets you select a single date or a range of dates to filter on
